Another great game, Sparks!! You hit the ball very well, last night, but your fielding was even better!
Taylor got us started in the first inning, allowing the Crush only one run. Sophia (not 'Sophie'!) pitched a shutout second inning, and then you put your bats to work! In the second inning, Kelly, Carly, Jenna, and Sophia all hit singles, capped by Abby's third double in three games!
Jenna (not 'Jen'!) pitched her first inning this season, and allowed only two runs. There were some excellent defensive plays, especially Nikki's throw from shortstop to Taylor at first for an out. The next inning, Paige made a great play from right field, throwing to Allie at second base for another out.
Your fielding has improved SO much - I'm really proud of you all!

- Jenna, with 3 at-bats, 2 hits, 3 runs scored, and 2 RBI, as well as two innings pitched, allowing only 5 runs.
Last, special thanks to Katie's Mom for arranging the picnic,to Carly's Dad for running the grill, and to all the Sparks parents for chipping in food, tables, and desserts. It was a great night for a picnic - and a Sparks win!
